<title>Cooperative Education Award winner featured in hometown newspaper</title>
<description><![CDATA[ Liza Sabine-Mathosia, one of 16 students honored for the 2009 Cooperative Education Awards, was recently featured in her hometown newspaper (http://tinyurl.com/ovd6uw). Liza also won the Paul M. Pratt Award, given to the senior who demonstrated exceptional personal and professional growth as a result of their co-op experience. She completed two co-ops with the US Defense Intelligence Agency in Washington D.C.

<title>Class of 2009 set to graduate today</title>
<description><![CDATA[ Today, Northeastern University will celebrate the accomplishments of the class of 2009 during the school's 107th commencement. More than 2,700 undergraduates will receive degrees in the presence of thousands of family members and friends at TD Banknorth Garden. The ceremony begins at 10:30 a.m.

Kenneth Cole, chairman and chief creative officer of Kenneth Cole Productions, Inc. and champion of social causes, such as AIDS research and homelessness, will deliver the keynote address. He will also receive an honorary Doctor of Public Service.

<title>New blog from Student Financial and Career Services Dean Seamus Harreys</title>
<description><![CDATA[ As we head into May 1 we are speaking with families who are in the final stages of helping their student make the best college decision.  We are hearing from families who are wrestling with the value of a private college education and the anticipated costs they will need to manage. 

This week, I asked Seamus Harreys, Dean of Student Financial and Career services, to provide a guest entry to help answer these questions. Dean Harreys oversees Northeastern’s financial services staff along with our career services unit, and has worked with over 15 colleges and universities throughout his career as a financial aid administrator. Additionally, he has served as a chair of the government relations committee of the Massachusetts Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators, and as a member of the Advisory Board of the Massachusetts Office of Student Financial Assistance and the College Board College Scholarship Assembly.
